Times:

The Saturday Day picnic times are from 11:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. and Saturday Evening picnic times are from 5:30 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. The activities available are listed under the Activities section.  Your group must leave promptly at closing time.

Early Set Up:

For early set up and deliveries please let us know. We would be more than glad to unlock the gate for you but please make sure to close it behind you.  For liability reasons, all recreational activities are prohibited until time of opening. The gate will be kept closed until 15 minutes until starting time.

Child Safety:
Parents are responsible for the supervision of their children.  All children under age 14 must wear a life vest when involved in water activities at the creek.
 

Group Leader:
The designated group leader must be present for the outing and is responsible for the conduct and safety of the group. 
 

Rainy Days:
In case of rain, the group may cancel with a two hour advance notice for a full refund.  Deposits will not be returned for any other cancellations.  If a group leaves early due to inclement weather, the fee will be reduced according to conditions and the time when all guests have gone. If an activity is closed due to weather conditions or mechanical difficulties the prorated amount will be subtracted from the bill.  

Facility Regulations:
No alcoholic beverages are permitted on the premises. You must contact the office regarding any performers or entertainment that you wish to bring to Antietam Recreation.  To respect the privacy of our neighbors we ask that there be no DJ's used at the facility. We have western and instrumental music that can be played upon request. Because our facility offers a snack-shop, concessions are not permitted on the grounds. PLEASE NOTE: The kitchen is not available for the caterer's use.

Picnic Planning:

Group leaders are welcome to tour the facility by appointment. We are happy to discuss and help you in any way we can as you plan your picnic.

Our Goal:

Our goal is that the time spent here will draw your group closer together and will provide good wholesome family activities.  If there is anything we can do to help you, please let us know.  If you would like to know more about any of the activities please call us and we will enjoy answering any questions that you might have.  If you are interested in reserving a date, please call 301-797-3733 to put a temporary hold on the date. Your reservation will be officially confirmed when we receive your full deposit and completed contract. We are looking forward to working with you!
