TIMES |
The day is from 9:30
a.m. to 1:30 p.m. We ask that you arrive by 9:15 for an orientation in the
main building.

LUNCH |
|
Each school is given
tables for their students to put their lunches and other belongings. To
allow maximum participation in the activities, there is not an assigned
lunch time. If desired, group leaders may designate an eating time (make
sure not to plan it during the show from 11:20- 11:40) for the students to
meet back at your tables.

EQUIPMENT |
|
All equipment
necessary for the activities will be provided by Antietam Recreation. |
|
ORGANIZING YOUR DAY |
|
Some group leaders have chosen
to organize their group, giving the teachers or chaperones responsibility
for the younger children by dividing them into small groups and rotating
them around to the different activities. Instead of waiting in line for a
ride, they can move to a less crowded activity or eat lunch and come back
later. Whether this is something you would want to consider will depend
greatly on the age of your students.

APPROPRIATE DRESS |
|
It is recommended that
each student wear old clothing and bring a change of clothing and old
creek sneakers. Antietam Recreation is not responsible for personal items
being lost, damaged or stolen. If students wear their bathing suits under
their clothing it cuts down on changing time between classes and will
allow for more time to participate. Students may
get wet and dirty at the boat slide, boating,
and some of the other adventure and creek activities so please be
prepared. We support the school dress policies. Shirts must be worn over
swim suits after leaving the pool area. Remember to wear rain gear if
inclement weather is expected.

SHIRTS |
|
Antietam Recreation tee shirts are also available at the snack shop.
Sizes include Youth (S, M, L), and Adult (S, M, L, XL, XXL). Schools
may order their shirts prior to their field trip. You can do this by simply calling in advance and giving us
the amount for each size them we can have them boxed up and ready for you
when you arrive.

SNACK SHOP |
|
A snack shop
will be available all day (except during the show from 11:20- 11:40)
offering a variety of items including such things as cotton candy,
hand-dipped ice cream, hot dog, popcorn, snow cones, etc. Prices ranging
from $1- $2. Subject to change.

|
CHAPERONES |
|
Chaperones are not
necessary since we are fully staffed, but are encouraged to participate in
the activities for the $10/person rate. |
