        RAINY DAY SCHEDULE

In case of inclement weather, the group may cancel with a 2 hour notice.  If a date is available, they may reschedule.  However, unless hazardous conditions exist, activities will continue rain or shine.  Participants should bring rain gear.

Since people come to our facility specifically for our unique outdoor activities, if at all possible we will continue with our regular outdoor activities.

Participants are asked to wear rain gear (parkas or ponchos) and clothing suitable for being outside in forecasted rainy weather conditions.  Certain activities may involve getting wet such as the boat slide, swimming, and canoeing.  In case of downpours or possible hazardous conditions the regular activities will be replaced with rainy day activities.

You can expect to get wet even with the rainy day schedule, because students travel from the parking lot to the main building as well as switching activities.  During an electrical storm activities will be moved to the main building, the barn and the main building's downstairs.

Rainy Day Schedule will Include:

  •   Scientific Principles of activities

  •   Relays

  •   Bombardment, Dodgeball, other games

  •   Story telling

  •   Buddy walkers and challenge activities

  •   Table Tennis/ Air Hockey/ Bumper Pool

Please give a copy of the schedule to each of your teachers the day of your field trip.

Bring a camera and make a memory!
