Dear School Group Leader,

Greetings from Antietam Recreation! The year 2008 marks our 32nd year of operation and we are anxiously awaiting the upcoming year. We wanted to let your school know that we offer a program for school field trips from May 8 through June 5.

Here at Antietam Recreation, we are able to offer a unique collection of fun and educational activities. The schedule is set up so that students can go to the activities of their choice. These activities include:

* Swimming (the pool is heated)

* Moon bounce

* A variety of games, such as bombardment, tennis, badminton,

horse-shoes, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, air hockey, and

softball.

* 100' Boat Slide into Antietam Creek (students may also enjoy

the gigantic swing)

* 300' Cable Ride

* Petting Zoo (with a large variety of animals to pet and hold, as

well as some exotic animals)

* Horseback Riding and Carousel Swing Ride

* Canoes, Funyaks, Burma Bridge, and Barge

* Adventure Activities

If you would like to have more information about these activities or the schedule we would be happy to mail you additional information. The dates are filling very quickly so if you are interested in reserving a date please call our office as soon as possible!

Our goal is that you would have an exciting day of fun and learning. You may want to bring a camera to record the day's events. The cost of the field trip is $10.00 per person. At lunch time we have a snack bar open for cotton candy, ice cream, hot dogs, popcorn, snow cones, drinks, etc. The items are priced from $1-$2, subject to change. Antietam Recreation tee shirts are also available for $7 at the snack shop. Schools may also call ahead and order the shirts prior to the field trip. The shirts will be packaged and ready for you when you arrive.
